"The Cambridge Mysteries" by Barbara Cleverly

An audio book of 4 whodunits set around Cambridge. Christina Kenton (26) and her mother (who has sleuth ambitions) feature in 3 of them.

  • "Kill me tomorrow" - Grantchester's mentioned, but the names of Foxton and Shepreth are disguised. Following a sting operation to catch a serial killer of young women, 2 people die. The plot works for me.
  • "No picnic for teddybears" - set in Shepton. I like the plot.
  • "A dark issue" - the least successful story so far. For a start, there's no excuse for Christina losing sight of her cousin.
  • "Sweet Alison" - I'll need to re-read it. I didn't understand what's going on. An old man who killed 30+ people when a soldier is interviewed by 4 people about a death. Has he buried the body in his son's garden?
