The second Arts-Council-supported fiction magazine to be launched in 2007 from S.W. England! Twice as heavy as Riptide (heavier paper and bigger margins), more literary, and with rather more text (at a correspondingly higher price). There are 14 stories, the longest having 26 pages, the shortest barely half a page. Julian Gough has 2 mini pieces and poet Philp Gross has a story. The magazine plans to be annual rather than twice-yearly like Riptide. My favorite piece was Robert Sheppard's "The Selected Biographies of Frantisek Tropp, 1938-1997". Several other stories - from dirty realism to magic realism - pack a punch too.
