"takahe (No.79)"

A New Zealand arts magazine with 72 A4 pages, 4 of them devoted to illustrated bios, 12 to poetry, and 6 to reviews. There are 12 stories. Michael Tyler's "Wild Honey" story includes some active line-breaks

  we
        are
              naked
                      and Sam is above and we

I think I prefer the stories to the poems, perhaps because the stories including prize-winning entries. It's fun dipping into an alien culture, looking at their bookshop ads and their interests. The shoreline figures in several of these pieces, and there's a review of a factual book about moa birds.
