"Moriarty" by Anthony Horowitz (Orion, 2014)

If you like Holmes stories told in a similar language to the originals, you should like this. I rather missed Watson's slowness in the character who played the role of Watson. But I was wrong.

The final section where all is revealed goes on for pages. It needs to, though it sounds at times more like authorial self-justification.

At the end for good measure there's a Holmes short story.

  1. Dear Tim

I recently read a moderately interesting book called 'How To Think Like Sherlock Holmes' by Daniel Smith which I lukewarmly recommend.

Best wishes from Simon R. Gladdish
